Test Date Transfer
Change Or Reschedule Your IELTS Exam Date
Candidates have the flexibility to reschedule their test date at any time before the scheduled test date, subject to availability and applicable policies. However, please note that transfer requests close to the test date may be treated as cancellations.
If you’d like to reschedule, simply select a new date within three months of your original test date. For any dates beyond three months, your transfer will be processed as a cancellation.
Keep in mind, that each booking can only be transferred once.

Center Policy on Transfer of Test Date
If your request for Test Date Transfer is lodged at least fifteen (15) days prior to the confirmed test date, the request will be granted and will not incur any administrative fee.
If your request for Test Date Transfer is lodged 5-14 days prior to the test date, the request is subject to approval by the Centre Administrator. If approved, an administrative fee will be charged.
If you miss the abovementioned deadlines or you are unable to attend the test, you can apply for special consideration before the test, and up to two calendar days after the test date. Please submit a special consideration request to the test centre along with evidence to support the exceptional circumstances.
The following are the conditions for which request for test transfer may be approved:
- Serious Illness ‐ e.g. hospital admission or serious injury
- Loss or Bereavement ‐ death of a close family member
- Hardships/Trauma ‐ victim of crime, victim of a traffic accident
- Military Service
Candidates must complete the Request Form and attach the appropriate documentation or evidence. Acceptable documents may include an attested medical certificate from the Ministry of Health, a death certificate, or a police report. Statutory declarations and/or certificates signed by family members are not acceptable. Failure to provide evidence or submission of the request within the given time frame will result in non-approval of the request.
- If the request to transfer the test is approved, admin fees will be applied.
- If the request is not approved, the full fee will be forfeited.
- A test transfer does not apply if any component of the test has been attempted or results have been released.
